The wall-mounted structure helps distributors and commercial kitchen equipment suppliers provide practical overhead storage without occupying valuable floor space. It is suitable for commercial kitchen storage layouts, food preparation areas, washing areas, and other professional stainless steel equipment projects.

Applicable Product: This guide is intended for a single-tier stainless steel wall shelf with one shelf panel, two side support brackets, a raised rear backsplash, screw accessories, and wall-mounting hardware.

Step 1: Check All Wall Shelf Parts and Accessories

After receiving the product, open the package and check whether all stainless steel components and fixing accessories are complete. Sorting the parts before assembly helps prevent missing accessories and makes the installation process more efficient.

  • Stainless steel shelf panel: 1 piece.
  • Side support brackets: 2 pieces.
  • Assembly screws and washers: 1 set.
  • Wall-mounting accessories: supplied according to the product configuration.

Step 2: Protect the Stainless Steel Surface

Place the wall shelf face down, with the reverse side facing upward. Before placing it on the floor or work surface, put carton board, foam, bubble wrap, or a soft blanket underneath.

This protective layer helps prevent scratches, dents, and unnecessary damage to the stainless steel surface during assembly.

Step 3: Identify the Front and Rear Direction

Check the direction of the stainless steel shelf before installing the support brackets. The side with the raised backsplash is the rear side of the shelf and should face the wall after installation.

Correctly identifying the rear side ensures that the two support brackets are installed in the proper direction and that the wall-mounting holes remain correctly positioned.

Step 4: Position the Two Side Support Brackets

Take out the left and right support brackets and place them on the corresponding sides of the shelf panel. Align each bracket with the reserved screw holes on the stainless steel shelf.

Confirm that both support brackets face the correct direction before inserting the screws. The wall-mounting side of each bracket should be positioned toward the rear backsplash.

Step 5: Fix the Support Brackets

Use the supplied screws and washers to fix the two support brackets to the shelf panel. Align all screw holes before fully tightening the screws.

Tighten the screws evenly on both sides and check that the brackets sit firmly against the stainless steel shelf. The product assembly is complete after both brackets are securely fixed.

Step 6: Assess the Wall Before Installation

Before drilling the wall, the distributor, contractor, or installer should assess the wall material, wall condition, installation height, expected load, and intended use of the shelf.

Concrete walls, solid brick walls, hollow brick walls, lightweight partitions, and other wall structures may require different anchors and installation methods. The fixing hardware must be appropriate for the actual wall material.

Step 7: Mark the Wall-Mounting Positions

Hold the assembled shelf in the required installation position and make sure it is level. Mark the drilling points according to the mounting-hole spacing on the two support brackets.

Carefully confirm the width, height, level, and hole spacing before drilling. Incorrect hole positions may prevent the shelf from being installed securely.

Step 8: Drill the Wall and Install Suitable Anchors

Use an appropriate impact drill or other suitable drilling equipment to make the required holes at the marked positions. Insert the expansion bolts or wall anchors into the wall and make sure they are properly seated.

The supplied expansion bolts should only be used when they are suitable for the actual wall structure. Special walls may require alternative anchors, additional reinforcement, or installation by a qualified contractor.

Step 9: Fix the Wall Shelf Securely

Align the mounting holes on the two support brackets with the prepared wall anchors. Insert and tighten the fixing screws evenly on both sides.

Check that the shelf remains level while tightening. Do not place products or equipment on the shelf until all fixing points have been fully secured.

Step 10: Complete the Final Safety Check

After installation, check every assembly screw, support bracket, wall fixing point, and expansion bolt. Apply light pressure to confirm that the shelf does not move, tilt, or separate from the wall.

The single-tier stainless steel wall shelf installation is complete when the shelf is level, the brackets are firmly fixed, and the wall can safely support the intended use.

Important Wall and Load Reminder: Before installation, always assess the wall material, wall strength, fixing method, expected load, and local installation conditions. Do not install the shelf on a weak wall using unsuitable anchors. Hollow walls, lightweight partitions, or damaged walls may require special fixing hardware or additional reinforcement. SENFON does not recommend using an unverified load rating without considering the wall and installation conditions.
