Specifications, Options & Buying Information
SENFON manufactures a stainless steel work cabinet with 2-tier over-shelf storage for buyers who need protected storage below and fast-access storage above. The sliding-door base, reinforced worktop, uprights and upper shelves are engineered as one vertical station. Confirm the cabinet opening, internal shelf, worktop equipment envelope, shelf reach and load, backsplash, material, thickness and full KD assembly before quotation.
Enclosed Base and Over-Shelf Specification
| Item | What to Confirm |
|---|---|
| Base cabinet | Enclosed sliding-door storage |
| Internal shelf | Quantity and spacing customized |
| Over-shelf | Two-tier reference with approved depths and clearances |
| Worktop | Reinforced surface with backsplash option |
| Material | Grade, finish and actual thickness by component |
| Construction | Full KD design coordinated for door alignment |
Enclosed Sliding-Door Base with Upper Shelves
The reference model uses a sliding-door cabinet below and a two-tier shelf system above. Additional levels are available as custom variants with revised overall height, reach, loads and connections.
| Configuration point | Available reference configuration | Confirm before production |
|---|---|---|
| Base cabinet | Double sliding doors with internal storage | Usable opening, internal shelf and track service |
| Upper storage | Two-tier target; three/four tiers may be reviewed | Reach, clearance, shelf depth and total height |
| Work surface | Reinforced worktop between the two zones | Clear task area and upright connection points |
| Construction | Full KD reference | Cabinet squareness, upper alignment and assembly sequence |
Keep Door Travel, Reach and Worktop Clearance Compatible
Base Opening
Confirm the largest stored item so the sliding-door opening and internal shelf clearances are practical.
Upper Reach
Set shelf height and depth around operator reach and the equipment used on the worktop.
Plan Base Storage and Upper Storage as One Station
The sliding-door compartment is suited to larger or reserve items; the upper shelves suit visible supplies within reach. Provide the largest item for the cabinet opening and the planned containers for each over-shelf. The base door overlap and shelf uprights should not force the operator away from the preferred working position.
Show finished worktop height, first-shelf clearance, shelf spacing and overall height on one drawing. Countertop equipment may require additional vertical clearance or a different upright position. Shelf depth must preserve visibility and head clearance, while the cabinet depth and door opening remain usable.
Control Squareness from Base to Uprights
A KD configuration introduces alignment checks at the cabinet, worktop and over-shelf connections. Assemble and level the base before aligning doors and upper uprights. Material grade, actual thickness and reinforcement are confirmed by component. Packing should restrain moving doors and protect long uprights; packed volume is calculated only after the approved division is known.
Buyers should compare usable sliding-door opening, internal shelf layout, over-shelf clearances and connection details. A supplier quoting the same external size may provide a materially different operating envelope, so approval should rely on the elevation and section drawing.
Cabinet and Over-Shelf RFQ Inputs
- Overall cabinet and finished working dimensions
- Door opening and internal shelf layout
- Upper-tier depths and vertical clearances
- Backsplash, worktop use and reinforcement
- Material, KD assembly, quantity and destination
The KD sliding-door cabinet guide is the relevant starting point for base squareness; the upper-shelf connections need their own drawing.
Align the Base Before Installing Upper Storage
Door travel and upper-shelf stability both depend on a level, square base.
- Square and level the cabinet before door adjustment.
- Check the worktop remains clear of upright hardware.
- Measure reach and sight lines after full assembly.
- Confirm upper-shelf load cases separately from cabinet storage.
Packing Two Connected Storage Systems
Door panels, tracks, uprights and shelves require separate protection and part groups. The full station's packed volume is measured only after the approved tier count and panel division are fixed.
Two-Zone Cabinet Questions
Can the upper shelf count change?
Yes. The current design uses two tiers, while custom layouts can be reviewed.
Can the complete cabinet be knock-down?
A full KD solution can be engineered when door alignment, panel joints and local assembly are addressed.
For installation, identify whether the upper frame is assembled before or after the base is leveled; the sequence affects upright alignment and sliding-door adjustment.
Factory-Tested Heavy-Load Stability
SENFON has verified this reinforced worktop and sturdy-leg structure for heavy daily use. Under the approved load condition, the assembled workstation is checked for stability and vibration control, while corrosion resistance depends on the specified stainless steel grade and operating environment.
